During Refugee Week 2025, the art department ran a competition with the theme ‘ Community as a Superpower’.

Entries were colourful, creative and original that powerfully expressed the strength and unity found in community.

After some very difficult judging, the winners were officially announced this week and the winning artwork will be displayed along the Humanities corridor.

Congratulations to all that took part – your work has truly captured the spirit of the theme of this competition.

Our winners are:

  • Year 7 winner – Lizzie Furnival
  • Year 7 runners up – Brodie Molsher, Shahimah Kawagga, Robin Harsley, Phoebe North and Eliza Bell
  • Year 8 winner – Faith Farley
  • Year 8 runner up – Ella Jenkins
  • Year 10 winner – Mina Popescu
  • Special commendation – Jay-Cee  Andrew, Danni Proctor, Beau Slevin, Olivia Taylor, Jake Poole and Ms Kell
