Year 9 welcomed Ian, Asda Grantham Community Champion, to give a presentation of food waste and the effect on the environment.

Ian’s presentation was very informative about how we distribute and package food in the UK, and how ASDA recycles plastic, cardboard and food waste.

Students took part in a short engaging quiz about the amount of food suitable for an adult and a child – students were interested in learning some new facts and were shocked by some of the findings.

Before Ian left, he presented students with fruit to make their own ‘fruit kebab’ – these went down a treat!
