Site Manager
We are looking to appoint a highly skilled, capable and enthusiastic Site Manager who will lead and manage the academy site and premises. Ensuring all statutory obligations are met and that the buildings are maintained to a high standard.
- Salary: £32,076 to £36,648 per annum
- Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (including occasional evenings and weekends)
- Start date: as soon as possible
- Contract: permanent
The successful candidate will:
- Be responsible for the safety and maintenance of the site and premises, ensuring a high quality maintenance programme is in place with a mixture of in house work and external contractors.
- Effectively manage the site’s helpdesk and respond to requests quickly and efficiently
- Have a good all round knowledge of building and associated trades
- Hold a skilled trade (desirable, not essential)
- Be the academy lead on all health and safety matters ensuring policies, risk assessments and practice and procedures meets all legislation and regulations. You must therefore have knowledge and experience in this area and be willing to continue with health and safety training throughout your time at the academy.
- Manage a caretaker and an in house cleaning team, therefore you must be personable, organised and have the ability to coordinate large teams and delegate duties effectively.
- Demonstrate resilience when dealing with unforeseen stresses and finding solutions
- Work with a large staff and student body, therefore must be friendly, approachable and have the ability to keep calm under pressure. You must also have an understanding that the education, well-being and safeguarding of our students is a priority at all times.
