Students in year 9 enjoyed taking part in National Manufacturing Day by visiting three local engineering companies.

Viking Signs, Pentangle and BGB opened their doors to our students so that they could gain an insight into the world of work in manufacturing.

Students enjoyed a tour of the sites and talks from professionals as well as a sneak peek into three local employers, all of whom employ apprentices as part of their work force.

This work place experience is one of many that students at the West Grantham Secondary Academy engage in that help us to ensure that we are meeting Gatsby benchmark 6 of our Careers programme!

A huge thank you to all of the staff at each of the companies who helped make this a fabulous day.
