43 students have taken part in the annual Kesteven District Athletics Championships, held at Grantham Meres Athletics Stadium. Competing against a number of schools from the Grantham area, our students showcased determination, talent, and sportsmanship across a wide range of track and field events. From sprints and relays to long jump and shot put, our athletes demonstrated skill and resilience throughout the day.
Special mention must go out to Shaila Willetts who finished second in the shot putt and qualified to represent Grantham at the County Championships, and Aliyah Scothern who made it to the finals of the 100m sprint.
Beyond the students impressive performances, all represented the school exceptionally well both on and off the track. Their behaviour, encouragement of one another, and respect for competitors stood out and reflect the values we uphold at West Grantham. We are very proud of all those who took part and look forward to building on this success in the future.
