The West Grantham Church of England Secondary Academy has a vacancy for a dedicated Cover Supervisor.  This role is suited to a newly qualified teacher or those looking to build a career in education and want to gain valuable classroom experience at an expanding school. The post holder will be required to work 37 hours per week for 39 weeks per year.  As part of this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Oversee a class of students, ensuring they remain engaged with the pre-set work in the absence of their usual teacher
  • Supervise sessions across a range of subjects, providing support to students where possible and upholding the school’s behaviour policy at all times
  • Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion

This role offers a unique opportunity for those passionate about education and keen to develop their classroom management skills.  We are looking for a Cover Supervisor who is:

  • Ideally, has experience of working with children in an education setting or similar
