West Grantham Church of England Secondary Academy is seeking a compassionate, motivated and reliable Pastoral Apprentice to join our dedicated pastoral team. This is a valuable opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people while working towards a recognised qualification.

Apprentices will receive high‑quality training, both in school and through an external provider, while contributing meaningfully to the wellbeing and development of students.

Key Responsibilities

As part of your apprenticeship, you will develop skills and experience in:
Providing day‑to‑day pastoral care to students, promoting wellbeing, inclusion and emotional resilience.

  • Communicating effectively with parents/carers and external professionals.
  • Supporting meetings with families and external agencies.
  • Assisting with referrals and information sharing in line with GDPR.
  • Acting as a trusted adult for students experiencing personal, social or behavioural difficulties.
  • Implementing behaviour support strategies under guidance.
  • Maintaining accurate pastoral records and case notes.
  • Contributing to safeguarding, attendance and behaviour reports.
  • Using school systems such as CPOMS for logging and monitoring concerns.
  • Supporting school-wide initiatives, activities and enrichment programmes.
  • Assisting with transition programmes from primary to secondary.
  • Supervising students during unstructured times (break, lunch and transitions).
  • Identifying safeguarding concerns and following academy safeguarding procedures.
  • Always maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Working collaboratively with staff to improve student wellbeing.
  • Contributing to risk assessments where required.
  • Participating in training, safeguarding updates and ongoing professional development.

  • The West Grantham Church of England Secondary Academy are seeking to appoint Exam Invigilators as soon as possible for the upcoming GCSE examinations.  Applicants must be available to work the hours set out in the examination schedule.You will be required to work as part of a team to ensure that examination requirements are complied with.  You must be reliable, punctual, remain calm under pressure and have a good eye for detail.  In addition, you will be happy to work as part of a team or with individual students.The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for:
    • the preparation of the exam room
    • supervision of students entering, leaving the exam
    • supervision of students for the duration of the examWe offer:

West Grantham CofE Secondary Academy is seeking a reliable, hardworking and dedicated Cleaner to join our site team. This role is essential in helping us maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors.

About the Role

As a Cleaner, you will:

  • Carry out cleaning duties in a designated area of the school in line with the Academy’s cleaning specifications.
  • Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are stored safely at all times.
  • Report any concerns with cleaning equipment or materials to your supervisor.
  • Work safely and follow Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.

This role may involve some lone working and physical tasks such as bending, lifting and the use of cleaning machinery (e.g., buffers, vacuums).
